P/T Community Education/Marketing Coordinator

Adult Education seeks self-directed individual to develop community education course offerings, and implement the program's marketing plan. Requirements: Bachelor's degree; ability to work collaboratively and independently; strong interpersonal, writing, and organizational skills; demonstrated time and project management; computer proficiency (Word, databases). 15-20 hours per week @ $18.50-$20 per hour. Volunteer Tutors Needed!

Volunteer tutors are often needed for our Reading and ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) classes on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Please call our Saco Learning Center at 282-3846 or read on for tutor training opportunities.

Literacy Volunteers

Literacy volunteers of Greater Saco -Biddeford trains tutors to provide educational programs and services that improve reading, writing, and related literacy skills to empower adults by enhancing their life skills in the areas of family, work, health, and community. Before working with an adult learner, we require that all tutors attend a 15-18 hour basic literacy or ESOL training. Sessions include the tools, techniques, and strategies needed to work with an adult learner with low literacy skills.
